Growing up as a child in the Sonoma Napa region, there was nature everywhere, with an occasionally apple orchard amidst rolling hills and forests of oak. Growing up, I watched as fields were cleared, forests removed and orchards replaced to make room for more and more vineyards. The commodification of the wine industry in the area has slowly eaten away the forests and fields we roamed as children.
