Extinct 1662 CE
Nobody knows the true sound just as nobody knows what the dodo ate or how it lived. First sighted around 1600 on Mauritius the Dodo was extinct less than eighty years later. No complete skeleton has ever been found and the last set of bones was destroyed in a fire at a museum in Oxford, England in 1755.
