I grew up on a small island in South Carolina. Every year we have a a group of volunteers go out and protect the loggerhead sea turtle nests, because are population of such creatures are rapidly decreasing. I had the pleasure of going this year and am sad to report the number of nests has decreased significantly due to climate change and the pollution of our oceans!
