Personal memory by Peter Frischknecht
2011 CE • Northeast Coast of Brazil
"Turtles nesting on the northeast coast of Brazil . . . Near "Praia do Forte". They used to be everywhere . . . we had to walk around them during nesting season. Their numbers have really dwindled now, and every nest is preciously cataloged by local volunteers, who even help little ones get out of the sand when the time is right. Off in to the ocean, whales would mate . . . and that too, has found a stalemate . . ."
