Personal memory by Nikhita Jayakumar

A fond memory that comes to mind is 15 years ago when there was a drastic change entering into the 21st century. My grandmother was always fond of keeping nature alive in everything that she did, and we planted a row of mango trees on the fields of our family home. At the time, it seemed like a fun little activity but more than a decade later I understand the value of doing so. Greenery and nature play such an important role in our lives, today when I visit our family home, a few of those mango trees still exist even a decade after with a garden of beautiful flowers and plants. The environment gives us so much, and we need to give back. Mother Earth is filled with such beauty, and we need to uphold it for generations to come.
