Personal memory by Ana Patricia Alvarado
2008 • Panama City, Panama
My dad told me that Panama City's most luxurious suburbs were once swamps. Because of the elegance of opulence of that area I could not believe him. 75% of the city's mangrove swamps were wiped out to construct this urbanization. However, my dad told me not to feel so bad because nature was taking her revenge. Houses and buildings are sinking into the ground; insects are invading the place. Now those who live there have the prettiest houses and the most mosquito bites of the city.
