Every Year More Trees Disappear

When I was a kid, my grandparents moved houses from Staten Island to Somerset, New Jersey. I remember being so excited because the new house had a pretty big backyard. At the edge of the property there was a thick forest with so many trees that you couldn't see through to the other side. A few years ago, while my family and I were visiting, I noticed that the tree line lacked the same depth. I believe I was told the trees were being torn down to make room for more homes/buildings. Every year it seems as if the tree line gets thinner and thinner. It's saddening to see things like this wherever you turn- parts of nature, that hold significance in many of the memories we all have, are slowly disappearing.
