Personal memory by Katherine Henderson

My neighborhood is known to be a bird sanctuary but as the years go on I keep seeing less and less variety of birds as my town has developed and grown. In the past, I was able to go to our local park and watch the pelicans fly overhead, nowadays I'm lucky if I even see one. Luckily, there is a nature reserve close by but I fear that may be the only safe play for these birds in the future.
