Personal memory by Taylor Chan

I remember my parents telling me about the vast grasslands and nature back in China, where they grew up. Back in Guangzhou, my father used to walk 2 miles every day to school and back. He said, "Althought it was a long walk, I enjoyed every bit of it; seeing nature, and thinking about everything and sometimes nothing, but in the silence of nature." I haven't been able to do that practically ever. Where is the tranquil nature in cities or towns anymore? I guess they're all taken by roads and cars now.
