Personal memory by Lizzie Potter

I moved into a new house with a pond in the backyard when I was nine. I would walk around and show my younger brothers all of the tadpoles, frogs, and fish. It was a child's dream. Three years later, I had a new baby brother. Four years after that, I took him around the pond to see all the wildlife, but the magical escape I once remembered had dwindled. Instead of seeing countless tadpoles, I counted 6. "Care" takers of the pond were only taking care to maintain the outer beauty, they didn't care about what chemicals would harm the wildlife and the reason it was there.
