The neighborhood I grew up in has this big pond at the entrance where a large group of geese used to gather during the spring and summer. Back when I was a kid, me and my sister would always go there and observe them while they settled. We were even once confronted by a male goose protecting his eggs. But as I grew up, I noticed that the pond I used to visit has visibly gotten smaller. As a result, fewer geese show up when springtime rolls in. I sometimes wonder where they go now.
