Personal memory by Kathleen Gaines

We live along Miller Creek in Marin County, California. It flows fully unimpeded from its source at the top of Big Rock ridge to the San Pablo Bay, though erosion and landscaping chemicals have taken their toll over the years. When we first moved here in 1995, we regularly heard frogs in the creek area, particularly in the spring. We have not heard the frogs for at least 8 years now in our part of the creek.
