A quick peek at Google Maps reveals that the vast woods behind my childhood home, which was populated with weeping willows, red and black raspberry bushes, and wonderful trails that we used to pretend were those of ancient explorers . . . is now a bland condo development. I am wondering if kids today have anywhere to investigate nature and pretend to be National Geographic explorers.
