Personal memory by Tom Dishlevoy
1975 • Qualicum Beach, BC, Canada
When I was a kid between 1965-1975 we used to take our summer vacations on Vancouver Island, Canada where my father and I would go fishing for Coho Salmon in small rental boats off the shores of Parksville and Qualicum Beach. There was alway plenty of fish around to keep things interesting, small bait in the water and lots of kelp beds. By the time my father retired in '95 most of this was gone: the fish, the rental boats, the fishing tourists.
