Personal memory by Karin Betts
1995 • Komodo, Indonesia
We often sailed from Banta Island in Indonesia east to Komodo National Park, and we would troll along the way, and we would always catch pelagic fish. This was in the late 1990s. Then in the 2000s we only sometimes caught fish. And there were fewer seabirds. Now we never catch fish. And there are almost no seabirds.
