Personal memory by Chalis Santiago Caraballo
2018 • Puerto Rico
If you were born Puerto Rican, you surely love the never-ending song of a coqui. Coquis are cute, little frogs, that would always sing “co-QUI” at night when I was a little girl. After I grew up, they have become very rare. But sometimes, when it rains heavily, we can enjoy their cheerful lullaby that has become part of our identity. I hope future generations of Puerto Ricans can actually enjoy their special song.
