As I was growing up, every year my family and I would see a good amount of Mallard ducks inhabiting the few lakes in our neighborhood during the summer and fall months. But over the years we have noticed that there doesn't seem to be quite as many now. We only see a couple here and there as we walk the neighborhood. I wonder where they went or what caused the number of Mallards we see to drop?
