Personal memory by Tom Hunsinger
1940s • Maverick Creek, CO
When I was 6-9 years old my older brother (3 years) and I used to hunt the numerous leopard frogs in Maverick Creek, north of Norwood, Colorado, for their tasty legs - which the whole family loved. Adjacent streams, such as Leopard Creek, were also full of them. Today there are none - not because of hunting, but rather detergents and pesticides - very sad. Thanks to the chemical revolution.
