When my mother used to step in the sea on Paros Island, Cyclades, Greece as a child and a young adult -- her legs would be surrounded by octopus, fish, sea-life of all kinds swimming before her eyes. Now, there are rare sitings of small fish, a few octopi if you hunt deeply...Fishermen on the island have stopped fishing because the fish are mostly gone.
