Personal memory by Derek Hoffman
2009 • Iraq
In 2009 I was deployed to Iraq. Unlike everyone else in my unit, I actually loved the desert. One night while we were on a mission, I pointed the camera up and just took photos of the starts. It had been so long since I was able to see them so bright and clear. I couldn't keep the photos but I will always remember that experience.
