Personal memory by Buck Jackson

Chasing the Carolina Anole was a childhood past-time of mine as well as my mothers when she was young. Watching it change from it's vibrant green to brown once in your hands was a moment that never lost fascination for me. Children were also known to let them clamp onto their ears, one dangling from each as they go about play. I began to see this perfect reptile for the child's mind decline in my town around 1990.
