Personal memory by Leonardo Nogueira
2013 • Orlando, FL, USA
My family, ever since I was a kid would go to Orlando for holidays, and I always enjoyed. But when 2013 arrived, a certain documentary named Blackfish grabbed my attention. It tells the story of Tilikum, a performing killer whale that killed several people while in captivity. I watched this because when I was a kid and would go to Sea World, I used to love the shows with all kinds of animals performing for the public, especially the ones that involved the killer whales and dolphins. But after seeing the documentary, I almost felt guilty about having "fun" with shows, as I learned more about how these animals are treated and taken to stay in captivity, for people to spend money to see the performance.
