I was taking to my mom and she said something she realized was going missing was the amount of empty land in our state. There used to miles of acres that were unoccupied and were left to the wildlife to enjoy. In recent years developers have bought land and began developing houses on it. Our small country town has become an urban threshold. My mom told me she misses being able to drive for miles and not see a single building.
