Personal memory by Thai
1985 • Tonle Sap, Cambodia
Our guide, Thai, said growing up on the lake the water would reach his house in one month’s time. The rains would start in June and by the end of July the water from the lake would reach his house. Now the water does not reach his house until the end of August — an extra month — and the water is 1-2 meters lower than when he was growing up.
