Personal memory by Bhushan Govilkar
2017 • Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
As a kid growing up in a fast moving city like Mumbai, things changed almost every day as new buildings, roads and bridges were being built. As a major down side of this, I lived through the diminishing number of sparrows near my house. Me and my parents used to put a bowl full of water in our window and gradually overtime, I witnessed the stark decrease in the number of sparrows coming and drinking water from that bowl. Finally we stopped doing that as not a single bird was seen near the bowl for months together.
