1940 • Li River, China
A fisherman, at least 80 years old, makes his living with two cormorants by allowing the tourists to take pictures with him and the birds. We asked him what the fishing used to be like and he said it used to be that in a day you could easily catch 10 kilograms of fish and that as a child he could catch fish with his hands. Now, if you are lucky you might catch half a kilo in a day. He has to rely on pictures with the tourists to survive.
