Personal memory by Drew M

When I was in college we had an assignment for my colloquium class where we had to go to a local preservation park and explore the board walks on our own time. I brought my girlfriend at the time and we embarked on our journey through the Florida swamps and cypress jungles. The walk was beautiful and we saw all sorts of animals like birds, alligators, turtles, and fish. But the one memory that stands out is when we got to the end of the boardwalk. We stopped to take a picture, and as we posed for our selfie something amazing happened. An owl came flying in and landed on the branch directly behind us, in the picture we were taking. We stayed here for a while, admiring the beautiful bird and taking in the beautiful moment that we got to share with nature.
