2014 • Staten Island, NY, USA
During my time fishing on the shores and docks of Staten Island a common sight and bait for some fishermen were the Blood Worms. They kept to themselves under large rocks and had been an important part of the food chain. Unfortunately, even though you can still find some here and there, their numbers have drastically decreased. There is no definitive answer as to why they had disappeared but not only that but Clams, Oysters, and Muscles all have disappeared.
