Personal memory by Michael McKenzie
1977 • Falmouth, MA, USA
As a kid I used to vacation every summer with my family in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. This was in the '70s. My brothers and I would spend countless hours catching starfish and finding sand dollars among the rocks of jettys and piers. Now 30+ years later I continue to vacation in the same town and beach with my own family. Sad that though we look, my kids and I are never able to find any of the starfish and other creatures that used to be so abundant. Have to settle for seeing them in the small local aquarium.
