In the 1990s I took a trip with Mass Audubon to hopefully see bald eagles at Quabbin Reservoir. I was so excited to see the results of the restoration program - a glimpse of eagles, barely visible with binoculars at a distance. Today, as the species has rebounded, I have seen eagles soaring above my backyard!
