Personal memory by Sophia Labio

The rivers are polluted with trash and are mostly a green color, in and near the capital of the country, Manila. These rivers are used as public toilets and some people actually live amongst the rivers. For example, the river near my old school, in which I used to pass every school day, shows these characteristics. The Pasig river, which is located near the capital, is said to be among the world's most polluted and the meycauayan river, located in the region above Metro Manila, is not only the most polluted river in the country, but it is the most polluted river in the world.
