Personal memory by Michael Morrison
2015 • Indianapolis, IN, USA
Every spring, cardinals gather together around a berry bush in my backyard. The cardinal are Indiana's state bird, so it was always exciting to have over twenty cardinals in my yard. As the years passed, predator birds started to populate the neighborhood, and less cardinals stopped coming. By spring of 2015, there weren't any cardinals and the berry bush died do to harsh winter conditions. I have since planted a new berry bush, hoping the cardinals will return.
