Personal memory by Kayla Post

As a child, I've always loved nature. Luckily I lived near Cumberland Island and I was part of the local FFA chapter. One day our chapter was offered a volunteer job of bagging 2 tons of oysters and then placing them along the coast of Cumberland to rebuild the oyster reef. We had to build it back up because the land started to erode away and less oysters were building homes in the area. Rebuilding the Oyster Reef took a lot of time and it was a lot of hard work.
