1995 • Logan Martin Dam Rd, Alpine, AL 35014, USA
When I was young, my father would take me to Logan Martin Dam to go fishing. It wasn't anything extravagant, i.e. no boats, just empty buckets and fishing pools. His target fish was the big mouth bass but mine was the catfish. The most extraordinary thing about the catfish was they didn't have a max size. The dam maintenance staff would tell us stories about the catfish in the water that was near the turbines. They would tell us how they've seen catfish the size of sharks. Although I've never seen one myself, as a kid it was something that I wanted to catch.
