Personal memory by Kris
2008 • Flushing, Queens, NY, USA
I remember when I was growing up, I loved to see fire flies at night when walking home from Flushing Meadow Park. I would walk with my aunt and my sister, and we would try to catch the fireflies as they flew towards our homes, opposite to the fast paced roads of NYC. I remember catching and releasing them, holding them on my hand and observing them, and since there wasn't a lot of nature in our area- fireflies were always a beautiful sight. Ten years later, there were no more lights, and fireflies became a memory.
