My grandfather told me he used to collect Spanish lobsters in shallow waters standing and holding a frame with glass. Hard to imagine such a thing today when you need to dive deep to find these animals. This was in Algeria between 60 and 80 years ago and is only one of many examples of the extreme rarefaction of many marine creatures
