Personal memory by Varshil Joshi

There was a time in Ahmedabad, Gujarat when every morning you get sweet, beautiful voice of sparrows. In each balcony, in each society, in every part of the Ahmedabad. Then because of pollution and the concrete jungle, they lost many of their homes. I remember one of my cousins asked me couple of years ago, "How can you differentiate between sparrow and humming bird?" I did not have any live examples for which I could show him to explain the difference. Many good and environment friendly people are putting in hard work to save these little gifts of nature in Ahmedabad. I hope they get support of other people and we can have the same sweet and beautiful voice of sparrow again.
