Personal memory by Peter Smith
1990 • Las Molinas, Aida Castilleja, Lake Pátzcuaro, Mexico
“The lake around us is missing. The now silent night would have been reflected all loud life rebounding off the water. The music from the party on the nearby island. And the water birds clattered over the rainy season frog filled dark nights. The fishermen rowed out into the dawn light, the sun lifting up from the mountains behind the lake. Now the dawn fog, rises from the grassed over the lake bed, humidity stubbornly rising with the sun every morning and making us remember the lake.”
