Growing up, I would always go to Lake Mead, which is outside of my hometown of Las Vegas. Every year, the water in that lake dissipates lower and lower. It has always been so disappointing to see it slowly disappear. The absolute worst part about it is that you can physically see the water levels getting lower as there are lines on the surrounding rocks showing where the water once was.
