A river near my home has gradually got more and more polluted over the years. Many communities depend on the river for a source of water but farms along the way and some of these communities cause pollution. The fish populations were slowly diminishing. Then in El Nina brought a massive amount of rain, far more that in previous years. Human settlements were damaged but the river was completely flushed of all pollution. The natural environment was completely restored.
