Personal memory by Andy Feifarek

Less than 20 years ago, I remember swimming and diving around the coral reefs that surround Hawaii. While some of these reefs pale in comparison to the amount of life that exists on others, I have seen the dramatic loss of habitat due to runoff, overfishing, and irresponsible usage. This is where I learned to adore the ocean, and back in 2005 when I returned to witness it again, it was a completely different, barren landscape.
