I watched my small town become a small city over the course of my life. While this has merits, it has its downsides. I used to be able to sit outside at night and listen to the world move. Now, all I can hear is the highway an eighth of a mile by my house. I could look up and see the stars lighting my way home, now I see these yellow orbs. I have learned that modern convenince comes with a price.
