2010 • Mekong Delta, Vietnam
Fish farms have replaced fishing—the fish are missing. The boat captain and his assistant told us that the size of the fish, such as the snake head, used to be 3 kg and now they only catch a few fish, which are 0.5 kg at most.People now raise snapper in fish farms—small local huts with thousands of fish—because there are not enough fish left in the delta to catch.
