Personal memory by Patricia Weiss
1960 • Riverdale, Bronx, NY, USA
As a little girl in Riverdale, Bronx, NYC - I played outside by day and early evening - and was naturally and frequently touched by fireflies, caterpillars, preying mantis! They climbed on me - they flickered on and off. As a teenager, walking the streets, I rarely saw them fly, rarely touched, delighted or fascinated me. They were gone.
