Finding Peace During A Storm

It was a few weeks ago and hurricane Mathew was just about to touch land in Florida. Me and my wife just moved to the area, and naturally as photographers we wanted to capture the raw beauty of a storm like that. Sadly our plans got turned around when the police issues us to evacuate from our home and seek safety. I decided this would be a great time to take my wife to Lido Key Beach, a nice little haven away from the city and storm. We went there and while 100 miles away a storm was causing massive damage , here a coast away there was a gorgeous sunset. The colors where purple and pink and looked something out of a movie. The birds were singing and flying around and we even saw a few dolphins break surface. It was one of the most beautiful scenes we both have ever witnessed. It made us just step back, and gaze in amazement into nature. At the same time it was weird to think miles east it was all black and evil looking. I took a picture and shared it from that day.
