Personal memory by Megan McCulloch

I remember sunny summer days riding along the backroads of Warren County, OH with my family. I would watch the dense deciduous forest fly across the window and my eyes would try to catch each tree and shrub. Forests would fade into farmland, tractors slowly combing the vast and fertile fields, only to be abruptly punctuated with another deciduous forest. Now, those plants have morphed into subdivisions, franchises, and massive shopping centers. Farmlands are being sold, forests are being cleared. The natural beauty of Warren County is fleeting in the shadow of development.
