One thing I miss is the ever present sound of chirping crickets at night. Growing up I remember thinking how annoying their sound was when I was trying to go to sleep. It never failed – a cricket would invariably end up chirping right outside my window. I used to wish crickets would go away. Now, with all of the noise pollution around, I hardly have the pleasure of hearing a single cricket, much less crickets. I wish I could turn back the clock and have a cricket keep me up at night again!
