Personal memory by Andrew Sneed
2017 CE • South Dakota, USA
"In 2017, my father and brother and I traveled to South Dakota to experience the northern part of The United States. While there, we saw multiple bison by the road or in enclosed fields or natural parks. Having learned that tens of millions of bison were slaughtered by the western settlers, I was simply astonished that such an incredible mammal could be dispelled like that. Thankfully, there are now multiple conservation herds of bison around the country, yet it still astonishes me how these majestic creatures' population was depleted in such incredible amounts, like so many other species that the human species has laid its hands upon."
