Personal memory by Daniya T.
mid 1980s • Almaty, Kazakhstan
I remember wandering in wild apple forests just outside my city, Almaty (translated as "father of apples"). Apples are thought to have originated in our valleys. Now barely any wild apples are left — build over with mansions. An irrecoverable loss.
