I remember the American Elm trees lining many of the streets in Syracuse, like a majestic canopied canyon. I also remember the large elm tree in our barnyard with Baltimore Oriole nests in it. Now they are all gone, except for some sickly young trees, who live a few years, make a few seeds, and die. So sad
